Authorized Users

Authorized Users are granted access to and use of the Berghahn eBooks in this collection through a non-exclusive license funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) "Specialized Information Services for Research" (Fachinformationsdienste / FID) initiative. Gateway access is provided via the University Library of the Humboldt-Universität, the assigned FID-Library for Specialised Information Services for Social and Cultural Anthropology.

Use of the Berghahn eBooks collection

Berghahn Books provides DRM-free unlimited user access its eBooks collection for the purpose of scholarly and educational use by its Authorized Users.

Authorized Users may download the eBooks in the collection for use on any personal device, but may not distribute or upload any file to any website, institutional repository, or other form of file-sharing network.

The eBooks may not be used for commercial purposes, such as, but not limited to, sale, reproduction, or distribution, whether as components or in their entirety.

Copyright Protections

Authorized Users may not, under any circumstances, remove, obscure, or modify any watermarks, copyright, or other notices included with the content in this collection or across the Berghahn site. Except for use covered under fair-use regulations (www.copyright.gov/fair-use/more-info.html), use of the content that infringes on copyright in any way is not permitted.

Should an Authorized User be in violation of the terms and conditions as outlined above or as stipulated in full by the site license agreement between Berghahn and the FID, then Berghahn Books reserves the right to terminate access rights granted to the Authorized User.
